Project Overview
Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East between Cheltenham and Box Hill will deliver cross-suburb transport to key destinations, helping transform Melbourne's public transport system and delivering enormous social and economic benefits to the local community.
The Initial Works and Early Works (IWEW) package includes relocation and protection of utilities, site establishment works, road and tram modifications, ground improvement trials, construction of two Tunnel Access Shafts (TAS) and construction of a Traffic and Utilities bridge.
Our Role
Clifton Formwork (Vic) was contracted by the LORA to complete formwork, reinforcement and concrete placement works for a single-span bridge structure, including abutments and bridge decks as well as installation of precast Super-T beams.
The scope of works took place in Box Hill, with the temporary bridge located within the centre median of Whitehorse Road. Clifton Formwork (Vic) was able to complete the scope within a tight work area within a busy area of Melbourne.
